I am looking on buying a 1967 Impala 4 door sedan (not hardtop).
http://www.trader.ca/Search/Details.asp?鈥?/a>
He gave me other pictures that show more details (solid frame). At closer inspection of the car (in the pictures) shows alot of scratches, a few rust spots around the fender and spots where bondo was applied.
Ive checked nada guides, http://www.manheimgold.com and http://www.collectorcarmarket.com/menus/鈥?/a> and they all vary from 3000$ to 5000$ in good condition.
I tried emailing him using a different email address and offered him 3000$ and he replied asking closer to the asking price.
Any suggestions what I should offer him because I know that 8200$ is pretty steep for that car because the 2 door with a 283 usualy go for that price.
I was thinking something on the lines between 4 and 5000$ tops.|||I recommend having it checked out in person if possible. As far as the price, it is rather steep for a 4 door sedan. They are on the bottom of the buying list right behind a wagon. Remember....book prices are only guides. Look at actual sale prices to calculate it's worth.|||6900$is a fair price doe the car seeing as how much bondo is on it to many different changes from the original make it worth less money but the price above is fair|||If the guy wants too much and won't make you a counter offer, walk away and find another Impala.
