How much is this boat worth?

I have been posting questions about boats lately and still haven't bought one. I'm looking at a 1987 Ebbtide Dyna-trak fish-n-ski. It's 16ft long with a 90hp Johnson. It has a trolling motor, livewell, and trailer. I'm new to boating and don't want to spend much on a boat. The NADA value of this boat is about 1300. The guy's asking $1975 for it and I think that's way to much. I just wanted more opinions. So assuming it's ready for the water, how much would you offer?|||He is asking way too much. And that could cause a problem for you, he may not be willing to bargain realistically. Be ready to walk away.

In my opinion in this buyer's market the NADA is the high end of the range.

Offer maybe $1100, but your seller is gonna be tough to work with.

Best of luck|||if the boat and equipment is in good shape (everything works and regular maintenance done) then its sounds like a fair price.

boat pricing is relative to the area they are sold in. to verify price range check your local craig's list for comparable boat packages.

the nada price seems low, sounds like the two motors and the trailer would be worth about $2000.00 if sold separately (without the boat)

other price factors include: how long has it been on the market? has the seller already reduced the price? are there a lot of other boats for sale in your area? how bad you you want this boat?

hope this helps|||A lot of variables here. how many hours are on the motor? How new is the trailer? How new is the trolling motor? Does it have other extras like a fish finder? Radio,CB etc,? I would say though that the motor is what this guy is really selling and if it's in good condition it is a steal. Motors cost big bucks. The NADA value is for the boat hull only not the extras like the motor.
